Friday Finish, and more craziness from KT

Made these this week with free fabric from Dee.  She won them, used some, then gave them to me. Thanks!  I think that there was too much testosterone at her house!  Now they have new life as library bags!!  Yay!

The next bit of craziness is that I dreamt about fabric one night this week.  Not so weird you say, well maybe not...  But just one fabric, not what I would make with it, not in any context what so ever.  Just a still photo dream of a fabric.  Sorry, I think that is just a little out there!!  Then, the next morning, I looked at some more Friday Finishes and see this bag on Amy's blog (She probably thinks that I am a nut after the comment I left!).  The fabric!!!!
Well, that's not all folks.  I visited one of my favorite local quilt shops the next day.  There....in the remnant bin...Katie Jump Rope Blue Ribbons!!!  What was I to do?  The green Katie Jump Rope was in the clearance room!!!!  Bliss.  Then, I got to pick a free fat quarter.  No way, Flea Market Fancy!!!!  Yep, free.  Don't hate me too much, it is the only Flea Market Fancy I own.

I already have plans for it of course!
Blessings,
KT

  1. To continue our conversation about "weirdness" -- your local quilt shop owner must be weird, or crazy. Katie Jump Rope on clearance and FMF for free. People are charging an arm and a leg for FMF on Etsy! Enjoy, you lucky quilter!

  9. P.S. I've got a glimpse of your siggy blocks on Flickr. Really love them. I'm hoping to work on mine this weekend. I got some Tina Givens on sale when purchasing on Etsy. I probably shouldn't admit this, but never heard the name before. The fabrics are really cool and when I saw they were on Rachel's list decided to use them.

  10. Those little library bags are SO cute! I'm going to be making something similar for my daughter.

I don't think you are crazy for dreaming about fabric - I do it all the time! Although I have super weird dreams when I'm pregnant. Like last night I was swimming with baby polar bears - whatever?! Once I had a dream about Amy Butler play-doh! It was awesome.

    Thanks for always sharing!!

  11. That is such a great story. I have just recently become obsessed with DS Flea market fancy. I can't believe you found that green in the clearance room.

  13. Your bags are just adorable! The fabrics are gorgeous! And I totally love the dream story... lol I often dream about cutting fabric (ever since I started working in a fabric store) and if it's a BAD dream, I'm cutting it crooked. LoL
