Wednesday Winner!!!

This past weekend Treasure took Friday off and we went on a weekend family trip.  As I was doing the open-mouth-jello-neck-head-bob, Treasure sighted a quilt shop.  He woke me and asked me if I wanted to stop.  (I gave him the perfect nickname!)  The lower pile of loveliness had to come home with me.  I think that it is called Oasis by Moda.  Any how, it was stash enhancement for the purpose of stash reduction!  The pile above it is some left-over civil war reproductions from my former quilty life.  I think that yellow is a welcome addition!!

Well, on to the real reason we are all here.

Hanging Around

This is STILL in progress.  I have been on the go for the last two weeks, so it has been slow going.  I will admit though, that I am getting antsy to move on.

I have chosen two blocks for my Sew Bee It bee.  This is one.  As part of my process pledge, thought that I would show you my scribbles!  Nope, no graph paper.  I have a Gremlin that keeps "borrowing" it. 

When I have quilted all I can stand at a sitting, I am trying to keep up with my other projects by doing the cutting.  These are my final four pinwheel blocks, and two trial blocks for Sew Bee It.

These hexes have been carried with me on my harried way the last couple days.  All scraps.  Think that I will let you wonder what they are becoming.  Not sure the white background is a keeper, but wanted to use up scraps, so we will see.  Might tea stain it!!

On a brighter note, I won Joan's giveaway last week, and already received my Kate Conklin's Charm Bracelet Pattern!  It looks so fun!  Since I already won the most wonderful fabric (Paganelli), I am not going to enter any more.  But you should (read:  Anna Maria Horner's Good Folks)!!!!!

Pins and Needles---(We Have a Winner!)

Speaking of pins...

This is my Friday finish!!  Pin basted and ready for quilting.  There is only one problem, I'm not sure how I want to quilt it.  I have my walking foot on my machine, mostly because my FMQ stitches aren't quite where I would like them to be.  I have frozen because this is a quilt I would like to show...so I don't want to booger it up!!!  I vacuumed out Joy, gave her a new needle, and have soft silvery gray thread in her.  Cricket, cricket, cricket...  (Read suggestions welcome!)

Here Dee, this is the back.  Do you feel better now??  I wasn't going to show this until it was done, but she can be kinda pushy when she is impatient!!  Case in point, had anyone noticed how fast she got their family room together?  I don't have a room in my house that together!!!  LOL!!!  Come to think of it I am kinda hoping she shows us the room in a grand tour soon.  Okay, so I am pushy too!!

95 Posts, and May Giveaway!!

How nice of Sew Mama Sew! to have their great May Giveaway just in time to celebrate my hundredth post!!!  This one is 95 ladies!!!  Can you believe it? 

I have enjoyed getting to now some lovely ladies, and have been encouraged continually.  My favorite encouragement though, is when you all share the craziness that is life.  Whether Spiritual insight, struggles, tutorials, or just plain silliness, your willingness to share is amazing.

So, to celebrate this, I am giving away the above fabric!  Each cut is one yard from Denyse Schmidt's Hope Valley line.  I may find some fun little things to send along with it...

Sew & Tell

I finished this top!  I got a picture of the whole thing, but since it is a signature quilt I decided not to use it in order to protect the names of the families in our Bible group.  There are lots of minors involved.  I did decide to show you all a picture of a block full of verses picked out for the recipient.  I will talk with his family after it is gifted about sharing more of his story.

Here you can see what the border looks like.  I am planning to use white thread to stitch on the white, but have not decided what thread to use on the border.  The back will be this white sheet from Target, with a few scraps of the purples from the top.  I am afraid that white will be too stark on the boarder.  Purple will be stark on the back.  Not excited about using clear thread.  Any ideas would be welcome!!

Siggy blocks and potholders are going out in the mail today!  Yay!!!!  Nothing more than a sneak peek until the gift is given on those potholders!!  Then I will post them here, and on the flickr group.

On a final note, the giveaway deadline is 9 p.m. EST tonight!  It has blessed me greatly to know that I am not alone in being a little...scattered.  Today while finishing the boarder, I sewed for nearly a yard before realizing that the bobbin had run out.  Good thing that so many of you have mentioned doing the same thing, I didn't feel a bit bad!  If you have a moment, read down through the comments here on my giveaway post, I have been truly blessed by all you great ladies have shared.  It has made a week of struggling much easier to bear.  (And given me several cases of the giggles too!)  I started out trying to answer all of the comments, but soon became overwhelmed.  I have an old, slow computer.  Please all know that you have made this a wonderful experience, and you have given more than I can give back.

KT's Chaos Continues: The Giveaway!

Today I have:  finished signing my siggy swap blocks, put the first border on my first siggy quilt, done two loads of laundry, and managed to keep the house running in order.  This begs the question, "Is multi-tasking the root of all evil absent-mindedness?".

To celebrate surviving the chaos that was yesterday, I am going to share ALL of the above pictured Flea Market Fancy with one of you.  This is my first giveaway, so please go easy on me!

Loose Threads

I have ended the indecision! I am joining Jacquie in the New Year Challenge. In an effort to be totally honest with you, most of these are just projects that need done. I am not ready to admit how many true UFO's I have! Maybe she will host another one of these in the Spring!!!
