I won, and Friday finish, er sort of...

I won Pinkalicious scraps!!!
This one is my favorite!
Thanks and hugs to KYQUILTYBEE!
Block A-2 on both of my Pinwheel party quilts!  Loving the look of both of them.  Can't wait for the next block pattern to come out.  Click on the Pinwheel Party button on the side bar.  Both of these were a breeze to make, and sooo much fun.  We are only 2 weeks into a thirteen week party.  When we are done I will have two quilt tops complete!!
While I had the orange out I did a few more of these.  Please notice each block has a different orange center.  Fun!  Though the middle one on the second row is bothering me because it is so light.  What do you think girls?
Here are the Siggy Baby Stars to date.  This quilt will have white and gray bordered four squares mingled in.  I think it is going to be named "Rainy Days and Mondays".  Big sorry to Rene' who is going to kill me for all the flashback song references that I have been throwing at her!!!!  Anyway, I love that something a little sad can still be beautiful.  Such is life!!!  Beauty from ashes.
Monday, when I cut out my pinwheel blocks, and my Orange Blossom Perfume blocks, I cut the remaining borders for the siggy babies.  That is four quilts at one time!!!  NUTZZZZ!  Well, at least I am not bored!  I am really enjoying the variety, and it is really efficient to cut at once and then chain piece the blocks, even though they go to different quilts!!!
Be sure to visit all the other Friday Finishes by clicking on the button on the side bar!! Hope you all have a glorious weekend!

Blessings,
KT

  1. KT, can I come live on your design wall? I love everything there!

Most of all, though, love having you as a siter of the heart and friend of the soul! Your family is fun to be with and we had a great time at the home show! Thanks for driving and letting me push you know who around!

    Kiss 'em all for me!

  2. I love the pinwheels! I'm on a bit of a pinwheel kick myself :-) I actually like the lighter orange center of your block because it provides more contrast. Hooray for FOUR quilts at one time!

  3. I also like the lighter block - it gives a bit of movement to the quilt. I can't believe how well you manage four projects at once - it would defeat me - and everything is so pretty!

  10. You have been busy this week! I love all your springlike and happy colours, and the lighter orange in the middle of one block does not bother me at all. Make another one with a light centre and it will be a design choice.-)

  11. KT, you have quite a bit to share today! First of all, yes, I have you to thank for all the songs running through my head. The good thing is that I like them all! Pinwheels seem to be the go to block lately! Love both your sets. Can't believe how much you have done with your Siggy Babies. Love that you have four projects going on all at once. I am sick of having to keep my studio picked up. I'm getting nothing done! I'm about to boycott this move just so I can make a mess again! Enjoy your weekend. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful WIPs.

  12. I love a good pinwheel block. I'm thinking of jumping on the bandwagon and doing a pinwheel sampler. I don't think the one in the middle is too light, however I usually hide blocks I don't like in my bottom corners of quilts. That way I don't have to re-do any work, and my eye isn't drawn to something I don't like as well.

  13. What a great bunch of stuff to share! First, love that fabric! Congrats on the win! Pinwheels look great, drool over the blue orange green! That meadowsweet it perfect for the orange and blue and I agree that the lihter block adds interest. And oh baby, those babies are sweet!

  16. Oh you are so organised and you've really churned some great blocks this week. Love the pink fabrics you won, the fairies on top are so sweet. I think you should keep that light orange for now, its looking ok to me.
