Over at i have to say, Randi is organizing production of skirts for young girls. I am planning to make a couple simple skirts from scraps and stash. Randi has a couple tutorials linked to her sight. For more info, please click on the above link. I am planning to make at least a couple.
I have this book, and plan to use it to make drawstring skirts. That way they will fit!
I am hoping that more will sign up at Randi's.
Blessings to you all, and especially for Haiti.

Ooooooo; finally someone's speaking my language!
ReplyDeleteI have been sewing for charity for over three years now officially (http://SewinSistersSowing.blogspot.com), so whenever there is a crisis, not unlike the current one in Haiti, my response has always been to start sewing things. I have waited patiently for the "send money" request to begin to turn to sewing, and apparently it is doing that now! Thanks for sharing; I'll definitely be sewing some skirts.
That is such a wonderful idea.....
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Thanks for sharing the link.
ReplyDeleteCute idea; cute skirts!
ReplyDeleteKT-bug! This is sew up yer alley! And I know you have really cute fabric and how clever you are with little girl patterns.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the memories with me all these years. Can't wait to see what you remember about C-man and Bean! OMG! You're the bestest kind of friend and sister!
Love to all. I'll call you later. I tried last night and I'm thinking you were at dance. I mean if your own husband can't keep track of you, how am I supposed to!
That is THE CUTEST skirt! Some little girl is lucky to get it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this. I followed the link and made a skirt (just one unlike your beautiful many) and am sending it out today.
