Pins and Needles---(We Have a Winner!)

Congratulations Hilda!!!
A package is headed your way by the 24th.  Since I have a couple days, I might try finding a few more goodies to throw in!

Speaking of pins...

This is my Friday finish!!  Pin basted and ready for quilting.  There is only one problem, I'm not sure how I want to quilt it.  I have my walking foot on my machine, mostly because my FMQ stitches aren't quite where I would like them to be.  I have frozen because this is a quilt I would like to show...so I don't want to booger it up!!!  I vacuumed out Joy, gave her a new needle, and have soft silvery gray thread in her.  Cricket, cricket, cricket...  (Read suggestions welcome!)

Here Dee, this is the back.  Do you feel better now??  I wasn't going to show this until it was done, but she can be kinda pushy when she is impatient!!  Case in point, had anyone noticed how fast she got their family room together?  I don't have a room in my house that together!!!  LOL!!!  Come to think of it I am kinda hoping she shows us the room in a grand tour soon.  Okay, so I am pushy too!!

Hope  you all have a wonderful weekend, complete with a cup of something warm (or glass of something carbonated) and a little time to visit the other finishes.  Just click on the Sew & Tell button on my sidebar!!

Enjoy!

Blessings,

KT

  1. Oooo. Love the colors. How about wavy line quilting using the decorative stitches with your walking foot. (http://tallgrassprairiestudio.blogspot.com/2010/03/this-is-my-urban-garden-quilt.html)

  2. Congratulations to Hilda! KT, this quilt is beautiful!!! I love the look of the colors and fabrics...even with those pins you can tell it is awesome! I can't help you with the quilting, because you know I'm the same way worrying about messing up my quilt with the quilting. I know you'll come up with something brilliant. Keep us posted on the show. Glad you and Dee have each other to "push around" ;-)

  10. this is such a gorgeous quilt top. i don't think you could mess it up, just go for it. i am a fan of straight line/grid quilting. this would definitely look good with the shapes in this quilt

  11. Oooh, that is just lovely! Can't wait to see it all finished! I'm like Leslie, fond of straight line quilting. I crosshatch many of my quilts, just because it's so darned easy and always looks nice. I'm sure however you quilt it, it's going to be gorgeous! :o)

  12. That is a beautiful quilt! How about quilting it 1/4 inch on either side of the square seam lines? I just did this on a quilt and it came out really nice, but didn't detract from the pattern. It was also really easy!

  13. How lovely! I'm a sucker for straight line quilting so other than that I have no other suggestions. I'm loving the gray fabric you used. I have seen Dee's make over and she is quick. I asked if she was for hire but no chance for me. LOL

    Thanks for sharing!
