Just a little UFO. Yup, you read the year right. I only have to finish the border, simple. Should be done before I go to bed tonight. Doesn't even match the decor anymore.
Still no Joy. Sigh. Next handiwork project, if I live...
For more excitement, please go check out all the other Sew & Tellers (use the button on the left). Most of them have sewing machines! ;0)

every finish is a finish...i have been doing a lot of old projects myself lately
ReplyDeleteWell, better late than never. I've been collecting cross stitch samplers from thrift shops lately, I love them so much. Maybe one day I'll get around to doing one of my own. Only I'll probably have to leave the date off, because it will be a 10 year process for me too :o)
ReplyDeleteA Finish is a Finish! Glad you pulled it out and it will look great. Feel even better to check it off 'the list.'
ReplyDeleteEvery finish feels good, no matter how long it took to get there. And you are not a quitter, that counts for something, doesn't it? I am thinking, it could make a great memory book cover if you don't want to hang it in your new decor.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely sampler. I attempted cross stitch once but I don' think I have the patience for it. I love the simple redwork style embroideries. Not too much thinking required.
ReplyDeleteI think it's really beautiful! if it doesn't match the decor anymore, why not hang it up only for the fall/thanksgiving season? i don't have the patience to finish needlework. i still haven't finished the birth announcement thingie from when my nephew was born and he is now in third grade.
ReplyDeleteThat is just a beautiful stitching! :o) It would be perfect to hang for the fall season. :o) Such beautiful work!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Sincerely ~ Tricia
Better late than never. You have done a great job. Beautiful stitching.
ReplyDeleteyou are only 10 years late! :)
ReplyDeletehappy stitching!
Even I'm beginning to miss your Joy. :) At least it is giving some time to finish other stuff.
ReplyDeleteAwww. I love those ABC stitched thingies. (I can't believe no spell check on "thingies." That's really a word now?) You should definitely finish it. :)
ReplyDeleteKT, I love your cross stitch sampler!!! So glad you finished it. You must be very happy! Hope you get your machine back soon.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL - this is perfect for the upcoming fall season.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I think if you mat it with a fun fabric that does match your decor and a cool frame it will fit in perfectly!
