Stitching

Just a little UFO.  Yup, you read the year right.  I only have to finish the border, simple.  Should be done before I go to bed tonight.  Doesn't even match the decor anymore.
Still no Joy.  Sigh.  Next handiwork project, if I live...

    Well, better late than never. I've been collecting cross stitch samplers from thrift shops lately, I love them so much. Maybe one day I'll get around to doing one of my own. Only I'll probably have to leave the date off, because it will be a 10 year process for me too :o)

    Every finish feels good, no matter how long it took to get there. And you are not a quitter, that counts for something, doesn't it? I am thinking, it could make a great memory book cover if you don't want to hang it in your new decor.

    That's a lovely sampler. I attempted cross stitch once but I don' think I have the patience for it. I love the simple redwork style embroideries. Not too much thinking required.

    I think it's really beautiful! if it doesn't match the decor anymore, why not hang it up only for the fall/thanksgiving season? i don't have the patience to finish needlework. i still haven't finished the birth announcement thingie from when my nephew was born and he is now in third grade.

    Love it! I think if you mat it with a fun fabric that does match your decor and a cool frame it will fit in perfectly!
